THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION WILL BE ACCEPTING SEALED BID PROPOSALS UNTIL THURSDAY MAY 6th, 2021 AT 10:00 A.M. FOR THE FOLLOWING SURPLUS BID ITEMS:

 

Supplemental School Year

Kentucky Senate Bill 128 has been approved by both chambers of the Kentucky General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Andy Beshear. This bill, also referred to as KY SB 128 and known by some as the “redshirt” or the “do-over” bill, allows K-12 students currently enrolled in public or non-public schools to request to use the 2021-2022 school year as a supplemental year. Students who choose this option can retake and/or supplement coursework already completed.

EKU College of Science Solutions Camp

The EKU College of Science is hosting its annual “SOULTIONS! Science and Math Summer Camp” for upcoming Juniors and Seniors from June 7th to June 10th. We are looking for interested students to apply for this camp.

 

Information on the camp:

-          4- day commuter, in person camp on Richmond’s campus

-          FREE to apply online from April 1st to May 1st

-          FREE to attend

-          Science and math activities ran by the College’s professors

-          Information sessions on college majors, application process and financial aid and scholarships

-          Applications and more information are available at sciencecamp.eku.edu.

Please contact Sarah Hisel at the Jackson County Board of Education Central Office for more information (606-287-7181). Classified Custodian applications may be submitted in-person or on-line.

2020-2021 Yearbook Orders

Students may now order the 20-21 yearbook from Mrs. Coffey or online (http://www.balfour.com/). The cost for the yearbook is $45 without your name and $50 with your name on the cover.

We also have yearbooks left over from last year for $45. See Mrs. Coffey to purchase one.

Preschool

Jackson County Preschool/Head Start Student Enrollment for 2021-2022

 

The requirements listed below must be submitted prior to screening and enrollment for your child to be enrolled in Preschool/Head Start for 2021-2022 school year.  

 

Preschool/Head Start student enrollment and screenings will be scheduled in mid-April and may.
